Today's edition of Spring/Summer Trends 2020 is the short suit.

Yes, the short suit is here and looking cute.  It is fun, flirty, and a nice alternative to wearing a skirt or long pants.

Now, you don't have to be all matchy matchy, unless that is what you want to do.  As you can see from the Lookbook below, you can wear a nice fitted solid color jacket with a pair of pinstriped shorts.

There are also different shoe options as well.  Not everyone loves to wear heels, so why not wear a pair of oxfords or loafers?  And for our heel lovers, why not bling them out?  A little sparkle never hurts.  

Add a nice statement necklace to top off the look.

Of course, there are many different ways to wear a short suit.  You can be as conservative or daring as you want.  Go conservative for the family dinner party and then daring for Girls Night Out or Date Night.  

It is all about having fun with fashion and release your inner diva!

Polka Dots What??

Hello everyone!

How are you feeling?  What fun things have you gotten into?

Your friendly, neighborhood Fashion Consultant is back again to give you some ideas on how to wear Polka dots and short suits.  I know, I know.  Polka dots are back?  Yes, they are, however, did they ever really go away?  Polka dots are cool, fun, sassy, and classic.  Polka dots can be bold or subtle; black, white, or various colors.  You can wear polka dots on your shoes, pants, dress, whatever.  You can go head to toe polka dots (very bold) or just on your socks (hidden rebel 😄).  Rock it how you want.  Rock it based on how you feel.  Just next time you hit the mall, rock you a couple of pieces to the register.

Spring into Summer Trends

Hello Everyone! 

How was your week? 

Did you have some great weather where you are? Did you get to go and play out in the sun.......all while practicing social distancing, of course. 😁

Well, just like I promised in my previous post, the next few weekly blog posts will consist of 2020 Spring/Summer trends.

It may surprise you that many of this year's trends are already in your closet.  Fashion will repeat itself.  Those items that we may have stuck in the back of the closet can now be moved back to the front.

For this week's selection is the shirtdress.  This beauty can be quite versatile.  You can wear it in the office, date night, girls' night out, or running errands.  

All the items in the following lookbooks are what is trending for Spring/Summer 2020.

It's Been A Long Time

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Did you all miss me? I missed you! How have you been doing? Have you been trying new things? Exercising? Or enjoying this time to relax, relate, and release? I say that whatever makes you smile, then keep with it. As for me, I have been researching on the latest fashion trends. Outside will be open again and, of course, we all will be ready to look our very best. It will be time to put on our flyest outfits and spend time with family and friends, whether that is out to eat, having parties at the house, hitting the party, going on vacation or all of the above. Next week, I will begin to post some photos and share what is trending for the season. The surprising part is that we may all have many of the items already in our closets and just need some inspiration on how to pair it all together. Yep, I know this one is a short one. How Are You Doing?

How y'all doing this week?

It is now week 2.  Maybe longer for those in other countries.

Have you been working on your dreams?

Have we begun decluttering and reorganizing?

It is very easy to fall into a rut, to forget what day of the week it is, to wonder when will it get back to "normal".

But try to fight it.  Get off the couch.  Don't try to watch ALL of NetFlix in one day.  Walk your block.  Walk a few laps at your local park (practicing social distancing, of course. 😎

I have started back exercising. I KNOW, it is a shock to me also, and my knees.

But once the shock started to wear off, not for my knees, though, it has helped me to stay focused.  Also, I am refusing to gain the "Rona 15".  Those "quarantine snacks" keep calling my name and I keep answering.  HA HA HA HA!

Before we know it, we will be back to moving around as we please.  Some things may change, as this has taught us all a great lesson about personal space and hygiene.  But at the same time, we will still be the same awesome people that we were before.  The great part is that we will have some newly completed goals under our belt.

Remember....Stay Strong....Stay Active.....Stay Safe.....and Stay Home!

Get Ready to Start Your Game Plan

Hello, everyone!  When I got ready to restart my blog and I wanted to talk about my passion, my love....FASHION!   What is in style, what is the new trend, what is not hot, etc!  All that fun stuff.  However, this month things changed.  Now, we must practice extreme handwashing (I thought we all did that...HAHA) and social distancing.  So, I said to myself, "Self, why not get the conversation started on using this time to work on your dreams?"  The "Me, Myself, and I" board meetings always generate some great ideas.  😂  So, here we go.  My little bit of insight on getting ready to work on your dreams.

Get ready to start your game plan.....what exactly does that mean.......... Well, let me tell you. Life is meant to be lived.

Life is meant to be enjoyed. Everyone has a dream inside of them, and we need to search within ourselves to find it. Even in such a strange time as now, we need to follow our dreams.
We now have more time on our hands than ever, so why not use this time to work on ourselves.

How can we go about it? I am glad you asked. I have a few thoughts in mind.

Thoughts:

• Use this time to do some DEEP Spring Housecleaning.
• Since we are have been told on many occasions to "stay at home", then why not clean the home.  If you are like me and suffer from allergies, then now is a great time to scrub, clean, vacuum and dust.
• For me, a clean house helps me to think and meditate because it is one less item on my to-do list. I mean, how can you come up with a dreams go-to plan when you keep seeing that large piece of dust swirling on the ceiling fan.  😍
• Use this time to DECLUTTER
• Yep, declutter.  You know that section of the closet with clothes that you aren't going to wear.  It is time to donate..give to your local church, or local shelter, or set up for consignment.  If you can make money on the items that you are no longer going to wear than go for it.  Check with your local consignment stores or sell via Poshmark, Mercari, or ThredUp for starters.  
• Clear out your garage and/or attic.  You will be surprised at the number of items that we have been looking for for years, and most likely either purchased another one or just decided that you didn't need it.
• Why do I mention declutter? Because in the midst of decluttering, you may find yourself a spot where you can work on your dreams.  It helps to have a specific location to do your planning.  You can give it a name, if needed, to help with your motivation
• Use this time to ORGANIZE & GAME PLAN
• Since we have so much extra time on our hands, why not work on your dreams.  Why not think of your game plan.  Figure out how to put it into action.    

Go ahead!  Give it a try!  Bet on yourself!  You might surprise yourself and succeed!
